🎉🚁 2024 Global 3D RC Helicopter Freestyle International Invitational Championship Concludes Successfully! 🚁🎉 From December 6th to the 8th, the world's top RC helicopter pilots gathered at the Longgang Low Altitude Intelligent Integration Testing Base to compete in the prestigious 2024 Global 3D RC Helicopter Freestyle International Invitational Championship. Over 60 pilots showcased exceptional skill, control, and speed, thrilling the audience with the potential of 3D RC helicopters.
For RadioMaster, this event was more than just a competition; it was an opportunity to connect with pilots, gather valuable feedback, and showcase the groundbreaking potential of our products. Our Nexus flight controller, specifically designed for the 3D RC helicopter community. The TX16S MKII, featuring exceptionally smooth AG01 quad ball bearing aluminum gimbals, delivered unmatched precision and control, making it a standout in the hands of pilots.
This year, the competition faced an unexpected challenge: severe radio frequency (RF) interference disrupted nearly all systems except those using ExpressLRS technology. The interference was so significant that the event had to be moved to a different venue to ensure fair competition. The RadioMaster ExpressLRS-powered Radios and the Nexus flight controller excelled, maintaining reliable connections even in the originally high-RF environment, demonstrating their superior resilience and reliability.
We're proud of our team pilot, MinChan Kim, for an outstanding performance, securing the #1 spot using the TX16S MKII, Nexus, and ExpressLRS. We also had the honor of 7x Champion Kenny Ko test-flying the same system, giving us invaluable feedback on its performance. Seeing ExpressLRS's unmatched link speed gain traction in the 3D RC helicopter space is a milestone.
